Frequently Asked Questions

  • What and where is ‘Mornington Peninsula’?

The Mornington Peninsula is Melbourne’s playground. It is only an hour’s drive south of Melbourne. Located between Port Phillip Bay and Westernport Bay, it is famous for its beaches, historic towns, wineries and scenery. The roads  meander along the coast, cross the lush farming land and traverse the hilltops of Red Hill and Arthurs Seat.

  • How much will it cost?

Based on a deluxe king room at  Brooklands of Mornington  , the cost per couple is $1,640.
This includes four nights’ accommodation and all activities and meals from Friday morning to Monday morning.

Note: This excludes Thursday night optional dinner, and drinks across the weekend will be at your own expense.

  • I’m an Alfisti, but my partner is not – will they be bored?

We certainly hope not!  Whilst this is a car activity weekend, not all events are car related and we aim to suit the whole family. The area also has many things to see and do in your free time.

  • Are kids welcome?

Absolutely! Today’s kids are tomorrow’s Alfisti! The entry fee for children under 12 is $200 per child. Please contact Brooklands direct for family accommodation options.

  • I want to stay elsewhere and still be involved…

Yes, but we encourage all Alfisti to stay at Brooklands. That way you will be able to socialize with your fellow Alfisti before and after each days activities. If you are staying off site, please let us know when you send us your Alfesta booking form.

  • I cannot attend all the events, can I come to some events only?

A separate day-tripper package may be released at a later date, if there are places still available for events.

  • Will you cater for Christian traditions for Easter?

Yes! On Good Friday there will be a fish option for lunch and dinner and Sunday Church services information will be provided in your pack.

  • What if I can’t attend in an Alfa Romeo?

We understand! Some of our interstate Alfisti are unable to have the time to travel in their beloved Alfa Romeo, so they choose other transport (i.e. flying/hire car).  Whilst we would love to have your Alfa there with you, it is the people that make this such a great event!

  •  Is there a car washing facility nearby?

Yes, Brooklands will provide basic car washing facilities. Best if you bring your own washing equipment.  There are also commercial car washing facilities 200 metres away.  We will provide you with the locations of these in your welcome pack.
