Activity Program

Alfesta 2019 will be held on Victoria’s beautiful Mornington Peninsula from Thursday, 18 April, 2019 to Monday, 22 April 2019 at Brooklands of Mornington, Tanti Avenue, Mornington.

Thursday, April 18 – Welcome to the Mornington Peninsula

Alfesta 2019 will officially start with your check-in at Brooklands of Mornington between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm followed by optional gourmet barbecue from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  You are invited to attend the gourmet barbecue and get to know your fellow Alfisti from around Australia.  Please be sure to tick the box on your entry form for the barbecue.

Friday, 19 April – Good Friday

The day will start with breakfast in the motel dining room from 7:30 am to 9:15 am.  Breakfast each day is included in your accommodation charge.

For those who did not register on Thursday afternoon, registration will again be open from 9:00 am to 9:45 am.

Breakfast will be followed by a driver briefing at 9:45 am.  We will then leave for a treasure hunt/observation walk around the historic seaside township of Mornington.

The observation walk/treasure hunt will end in Mornington Park, when you will enjoy a boxed lunch in Mornington Park, on the foreshore of Port Phillip Bay and then return to Brooklands at your leisure.

In the afternoon, a bus will take us to the top of Arthurs Seat and you will then enjoy the views of the Mornington Peninsula as you descend Arthurs Seat in the Eagle chairlift.  The bus will collect us at the bottom of the chairlift and take us to dinner at a fantastic Greek restaurant, where we will have our own private room.

Saturday, 20 April – The Ray Sharp Observation Run

After breakfast and driver briefing you will head off on the Ray Sharp Observation Run, visiting scenic locations on both Port Phillip and Western Port Bays and the wine country of the central Mornington Peninsula.  The Mornington Peninsula is one of Victoria’s great wine growing areas and to celebrate, a sumptuous lunch will be provided after the Ray Sharp Observation Run at one of Mornington Peninsula’s premier wineries.

After lunch you will drive back to Brooklands where the rest of the afternoon is at leisure until we drive to the Dromana Drive-in, where we will have our own private screen, screening classic car themed movies.  Dinner will be at the American Diner at the Dromana Drive-In.

Alfisti will please refrain from re-living their mis-spent youth. Steamed up car windows will be reported to the official photographer to be properly documented.

Sunday, 21 April – The Show n Shine

After an early morning start with the bucket and chamois, you will drive your pride and joy a short distance to the Alfesta Show and Shine to be held in Mornington.  There will be awards for the best presented Alfa Romeo and the Peoples’ Choice.  Lunch will be at your own arrangements in the many cafes and restaurants located a short distance away in Main Street, Mornington, or you might prefer to purchase take-away and eat it on the beach or the pier.

After the Show and Shine, the Sunday afternoon is at leisure until the Alfesta Gala dinner in the dining room at Brooklands where you will enjoy fine food, wine and musical entertainment.

Monday, 22 April – Time to say farewell until next year

After breakfast, it will be time for you to say goodbye to your fellow Alfesti.  Some will return directly home.  Others will enjoy participating in a multiday drive through the Victorian high country.  Details will be on the AROCA Victoria website when the program has been finalised.
